The Osprey
Skipper: Andy Howells

The Osprey is a Kingfisher K50 passenger boat with capacity for 93 people. This boat was commissioned 2 years ago from Kingfisher Boats in Falmouth, Cornwall.

Andy has been a member of St. Mary's Boatmen's Association since the winter of 1998. At this time he became skipper of the 'Buccaneer', a 72 seat double diagonal open passenger launch, which he operated for 4 years. During this time Andy also skippered for 'Hicks & Son' boating on the 'Black Swan' and 'Sea King'.

Andy says how he became a member of St. Mary's Boatmen's Association:
"I ran boats for 'Hicks & Sons' mainly the 'Gloria', 'Swordfish I', 'Black Swan', and 'Sea King', for about 11 years. I then bought the Apollo, a 12 seat classic speed boat, which I ran for 2 years. Then through a case of being in the right place at the right time the opportunity arose to buy the 'Buccaneer'. So I approached the Asscociation members with a view to join the Association, the vote went my way!"

Andy says that his favorite boating trip is: "The Bishop Rock Lighthouse and Western Rocks".
