Introducing the Association Boats & their Skippers

The Meridian is a Kingfisher K50 glassfibre passenger launch that can carry up to 100 people. This boat was commisioned by Jeremy Phillips 2 years ago to be built by Kingfisher Boats in Falmouth, Cornwall. Previously Jeremy owned a traditional carvel built open launch: 'Kingsley II', which he skippered for 17 years.

Jeremy says how he became a member of St. Mary's Boatmen's Association:
"When Frank Thompson retired and the Association bought the 'Kingsley'. They wanted someone to skipper her and I was in the right place at the right time and with the right qualifications. I was employed by the Association to run the boat for two years and then had the chance to buy her and join St. Mary's Boatmen's Association."

Jeremy says his favorite boating trip has to be: "the Norrad Rocks".
